Excel Table - Conditional formatting of rows based on a column value

Hello There,

I have an excel table which includes names of family and it's members living together.
Each family is assigned a unique family id.

Based on this family id, I would like to apply two colors (eg. white and grey) for ease of readability purpose.

For better explanation and a sample, please find attached a sample workbook for your reference.

Could you please advice?

Thanks and regards,
Don

First format table without alternate row.

Then add following CF to table data body range.
=MOD($B2,2)=1

Edit: Attached sample.

Edit2: I forgot about =ISODD($B2)
This can be used in place of =MOD($B2,2)=1
