D dhanush New Member Aug 18, 2010 #1 I have a string "Buy 100 shares IBM @ 135.90" I would like to display this in a "cell" in excel but Buy should be in BLUE, if Sell then it should be in RED etc. is there a way to do this ? colors are background or foreground is OK. thanks

Hui Excel Ninja Staff member Aug 18, 2010 #2 Dhanush You can use conditional formatting to achieve what you want Setup 2 conditional formats Cell value contains "Sell" Cell value contains "Buy" set Background Color or Text styles as appropriate You won't be able to just color the single word
