Get rid of the circular reference by changing the formula you are using. I can't read the screenshot - it's too small. Attach the workbook instead.

Hi,

You can track the cells having circular reference by going to Formula Tab > Formula Auditing Menu > Error Checking Drop down > Circular Reference.

If the status bar is showing only Circular Reference and no cell address, it means your active sheet does not contain any circular references, try checking on other sheets.

There are multiple ways to handle it.

1. If you actually want to perform iterative calculation...
Go to Excel Options and check "Enable iterative calculation".

2. If you need to find the cell that contains formula...
Go to formula ribbon, under Formula Auditing -> Error Checking -> Circular References

If you have a Circular Reference Excel has reasonable tools to assist you

Firstly look at the Lower left corner of Excel


My workbook has a Circular Reference error highlighted by the CIRCULAR REFERENCE note in the Status Bar

But note that it isn't showing a Cell Reference.

This is because the worksheet, Sheet2, doesn't have the error on it

If I goto Sheet1



Note that the status bar now shows that there is a Circular Reference error in cell E11

That is a good spot to start looking.
