Edit Links Question

At my work we have an external hard drive which holds also the excel sheets we use. They are on what we call the Z drive. I have this one database which links to over 50 worksheets on the Z drive (this database is also stored on the Z drive) and it works fine for what I need it to do. Everyone once in a while all the pathnames for the edit links section will change to the C drive and once that occurs anything I update on these files isnt fleshed out correctly in the database. Does anyone know a quick fix for when the Z changes to C to revert it back to a Z without changing the 50 links (editing the links and basically re-selecting the file with a correct file path) or at least know why it does this

Hi @dnegrotto

Try using the html address of the file

For eaxmple the full file name of one of my files may be :

pbais001.xxx.yyy.comCIFS1007$Kantilal.ChibaHomeAct_Rates.xls

and i normally retireve it from my H: drive
