Dynamic Text box position

Hi all,
I am making a gantt chart which is obviously simple enough, however I would like each line of the gantt to contain text but only where the gantt for each respective line starts.

So of the months started in January but line 1 did not have data/colour until say July, then thats where the text box would be positioned.

Obviously I can dynamically link the content but not where it sits in relation to each line item. Of course it could be manually moved, but dates of each gantt will dynamically change.


Any help much appreciated.

Why not add another series
Between the existing series
It will have zero length
Then add a label to that
That way it will move when the data changes

Ah right. Not using a chart but a pivot table. I was creating the Gantt using a Pivot table with year and month in the Columns and then having a value field. This then enabled me to colour the bars based upon another field in the table as well as ensuring that the bar starts when the value is greater than 0 etc.

Add a dummy field to your data with 0 in it
Then add to the PT

Right, dummy data - you will see what I mean if you change date from 7th to 12th.
