Disappearing Chart Axis Values

I have a set of 10 x values and then 10 y values that are graphed on an x-y scatter plot. I want only the graph to be visible and the cells with the 20 data points to be made invisible. I lock, hide, and the use the ";;;" code to make the cells with the data values invisible. However whenever I make the cells invisible the x- axis and y- axis value labels on the chart disappear too. I need a way to make the data invisible without altering the graph. Any help is appreciated.
 
Change the cells format to be white font on white background or

Group the rows or columns with the data and then collapse it or

Shift the data or chart well away from each other
