Hi Ninjas out there,
See the attached file
This workbook is protected (no password, yet), and my people will only be allowed to edit these ranges $D$2:$D$29,$E$2:$E$29,$A$2:$A$29

, and please tell me how to accomplish the following:

once my people type in any cell and move to the next one, they will not be able to correct any error they made, if any. In other words, as soon as they leave a cell, then it will be locked.

Is this even possible?

I have another issue with this file, that I just found out. The date and time changes everytime I type in the the next raw. Time and date are supposed to remain intact. What am I missing.

You might want to take a look here -> Link Here

If that link is problematic search for Excel Magic trick 718

Having grasped how he handles the vagaries of night shifts etc. you might see a more efficient way to layout your worksheet.

Wanting to lock cells after your user has edited should be fun - are your users capable of getting every input correct at their first and only attempt? If not, how are you going to accommodate their human propensity to goof up?

Insofar as Time and date stamping is concerned, there's a ton of stuff out there - heck I even found something at this :awesome: page

There are other, VBA solutions out there; this site contains several techniques
