Conditional formatting with Dates range for selected value

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a conditional formatting solution to a calendar (Sort of a dashboard). One sheet has names of employees with their leaves, approval status of leaves. The result to be displayed highlighted in the dashboard calendar of the subsequent employee.
Color of the leave highlighted to be based on the approval status as per the sheet. Not using excel 365.
Kindly help.
