    Hi,

I have assigned a list of values in one cell (Drop down using Data validation) and I want different colors for different items in the list, for example, if completed is chosen the the cell should turn green and if pending is chosen the cell should turn red. can you please help me with the formula.
    Thanks

You need multiple CF applied to same cell.

    Ex:
    =A1="Completed"
    =A1="Pending"

    Apply formatting to each.
