conditional formatting based on multiple cells

Hello All,

I have a task were i need to format cells based on conditions.

The spread sheet is available here

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AisY7zbvSsm4dGlvZWNDcDBzdWlPWmZWbkR3LTdUcXc&output=html

On the left hand side i have details of employee training schedule with dates

on the right i have the employees that are qualified to do certain jobs based on the training they received.

say i enter a date against emp1 for lifting than on the right becomes a lifter and an x mark is added.

I am not sure how to conditionally format based on 3 conditionals at once.

1) alert a user if the date is about to expire in 3 months.

2) if the date is deleted eg. if the employee no longer getting trained say alert with red and simultaneously delete the x adjacent to his role on the right hand side and color the cell say red.

3) when an x gets deleted ie. the employee is no longer in that role even if the training has not expired change that cell to a different color say yellow to distinguish between the 2.

employee may not be eligible to perform his set role because his training has expired.

employee is taken away from his role for reasons even if his training is valid.

any help would be kindly appreciated.
