Conditional formatting

Hi,
I have values on D21 to F21 and I need to use conditional formatting to change the color of these values depending on whether they are greater than or less than the value on D22 to F22. So I did this for D21 in regards to D22 but when I use the format painter button to use the same conditional format for E21 in regards to E22, the values used are that of D21 to D22. I uploaded a file as an example. Thanks in advance.

It is because you are using the absolute references (dollar signs), so it wont change the cell references when copied.
see attached for correction.
Cheers
