Choose multiple checkboxes

I'm trying to use the checkbox to select the multiple columns I want to hide but unsuccessful.
Can someone help. I add an example.

My way sample ...
'Checkboxes' are 'range C1:AA1'.
1) 'click' cell A1 to see all columns
2) 'click' needed range C1:AA1 cells as needed; yellow cells will hide.
3) 'click' cell A1 to confirm above selection to show/hide columns as marked

Thank you for the solution offered. That's a great idea, however, this method does not suit me for certain reasons, and one of them is that in A1 will be a hyperlink.

I've solved using "ToggleButtons" but I do not want it as a solution.
I would like to make a solution using "CheckBox".

because, Your sample files layout give this kind of possiblilty
You can any time change the 1st case's 1 to 2 ... then the control button would be 'B1'
... or almost any other column of from C-AA -columns ( 29 could be suitable value too ).

Your newer sample has objects, which I cannot use.
You also could add those checkboxes to sheet ... if would like to make is harder way.
Not for me ...

I have accepted different possibilities from my initial solution, but with Checkbox.

But I would like the way I imagined. I apologize if I said something wrong.

Of course, it's Your choice what would You like to use.
You didn't wrote 'something wrong'.
I saw those 'togglebuttons' and form
... there are some ActiveX-components ... not for me.
... and why to make ~24 even checkboxes, if same effect could do without those ... without any form?

You should have a clear plan what do You would like to get.

I do not fully understand it and I can not translate this sentence "not for me".
I understand ActiveX control is potentially risky.
Can you clarify the meaning of the sentence?
Is this a phrase in English or what.

Does it mean:
1- I do not want to run this file?
2- Not interesting to me?
3- That's dangerous for me?
4- Can it contain a virus?
5- Can it contain malicious VBA code?
6- Could not run the file because of my Excel settings?
7- or something else

I'm using Excel-version which cannot use ActiveX-components.
As You have used some of those, I can open that file as ReadOnly ( I cannot save that file for further use).
If I cannot use, then those are not for me.
I'm using something different instead those,
now basic cells as ... checkboxes ... click it - its status will change as well as with checkbox.
Then no need 'extra' features. It maybe not look so good - but - functionality is same.
From You list ... #7 - or something else.
