Call a cell value from different sheets into one sheet

Hello All,


I have several worksheets in a workbook and I need to call a value from a cell of different sheets into one sheet.

Please provide your expert advice and help me to solve the issue by ASAP.

This is a very broad question

Do you know the format of the other sheets?

Is the data structured the same on each sheet or is each sheet different?

Are you looking up a known value in a known location or do you want a variable value based on variable criteria?

Are you retrieving an individual number or summating numbers?


The answers to above can lead from a simple =Sheet2!A1 or =SUM(Sheet2!A1:A8), to a very complex formula with Indirect, Index, Match, Offset and Sumproduct components
