Hello to all,

What is the base line, conversion line and trend line in a chart? What each do for us?

Regards,

Guity

The trend line is a line of best fit which Excel puts through your data which tries to model your data. You can control some of the charateristics of the line.

Where do you see "base line" & "conversion line' used ?

Hello Hui,

I am in Chandoo's school, in introduction to chart's, Chandoo says: Base line...

Conversion line: I was told that I need to be able to change the conversion line in chart.

Maybe, she meant that I need to change data series in a chart.

Thank you for the answer.

Does Chandoo's Excel School have a chat area or a Forum ?

Probably best asking that question there.

Also Chandoo is a guy and so it is He.

Hi Hui,

I hope you are doing well. I have already sent this question (Base line) to him and since I didn't hear back from him and I think I may need these for my job, I posted here. If you have not heard of baseline, that means such a thing doesn't exist at all. I am the one who misunderstood.

Conversion line: When I was in the interview, one of the interviewer "who was a lady"

talked about conversion line and charts...!

Sorry for not explaining clearly, I know Chandoo is a guy.

Best Regards,

Guity
