Autofill column or rows with gaps

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to fill a column or row increasing in number but with the twist that I want to miss a column or row out.

For Example:

1 (miss a column) 2 (miss a column) 3 (miss a column) 4 etc

Normally I would type 1 in a cell then holding down Ctrl pull the cell out to where I would like to extend to. Excel would automatically fill for me.

Thanks for your help,

regards,

Mark

Hi Mark ,

Try :

1 (miss a column) 2 (miss a column)

Now select the 4 cells and drag across ; Excel does the autofill correctly , missing alternate columns.
