Alert on Mac when running a macro

I can run my Macro on the mac via tools/macro/macros... without problems
When trying to run it using a button that is assigned to the macro I get the following alert: cannot run the macro <name>The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled.
Macro are enabled.
Any advice will be very much appreciated!

Where is this macro placed ?

For the button macro to work , it should be placed in a standard code module , not in the code section pertaining to a worksheet or the workbook.

The xlsm file is in a folder under documents. I changed the name of the file to be equal to the macro name and reassigned the macro to the button and now it is working! Thanks for your help!
