6786:55:00

1925:54:00

14452:41:00

and same to not able to reflect the below mentioned data table in column graph

Month Severity 1 Severity 2 Severity 3 Severity 4 Total

Jan'10 389:54:00 707:01:00 2488:12:00 12088:23:00 15673:30:00

Feb'10 483:17:00 7211:15:00 43:03:00 12596:12:00 20333:47:00

please help me on calculating and showing with chart.

thanks in advance buddy!

Rakesh

1400:42:00 is that 2:42:00 pm or 1400 hrs, 42 mins 00 secs

as 6786 isn't a time

Also the Times you put in the Chart part of the question will need to be in the Hrs:Min:Sec format as a value of 1400:42:00 is converted to 58.33 days etc

Can you please clarify the Time Format you have used

Hi Hui,

Actually i am preparing a monthly report in which i have to show monthly downtime

that's why it is so much ,these are the time which i have to calculate.

again i am showing to you this, this time is in hh:mm:ss format

1400:42:00

6786:55:00

1925:54:00

14452:41:00

24566:12:00

these time are in the single row in a consecutive column and in the last column i have to calculate sum for the consecutive 3 rows as i have shown in previous post.

please help me out dear!

I am confused as there is only 700ish hrs in a month and yet you have values of 24000 ?

Hui,

suppose in your company you have 5500 people and due to some issue your employee are affected for 4:00:00 hrs

then finally 22000:00:00 hrs is downtime for your employee.

accordingly you have 10 to 50 such incident then how will you calculate this time.

i have the same issue accordingly.

.

Rakesh

For the chart I would only use the hours,

at the scale of numbers you are talking about 1mm on an A4 will be about 500 hrs and so Mins and Seconds shouldn't be needed

Rakesh

One of the limits in excel is that it will not allow you to enter times greater than 9999:59:59 Hrs:Min:Sec.

You may do calculations where the results are greater than 9999 hrs.

So your cell with 14452:41:00 will be displayed as text not as a Time and won;'t be included in any Calculations.

Can you re-arrange your data to enable say a Max of 9000 Hrs in any 1 cell and then the remainder 5452:41:00 in the next cell ?

Don't forget that your cells must be displayed using the [h]:mm:ss format so that excel doesn't convert the Hrs back to days.

There is a discussion of Big Times here and a possible workaround
