I went to a colleagues computer to use excel 2010, add series lines, then sent back to myself. Insane...did they remove the ability to add this? Would love some commentary on this if anyone knows! can't believe there aren't discussions on this to be honest, i use series lines all the time.

VBA to Modify Chart Data Label Formats

Figured this out myself. In case this is helpful to anyone else, this code changes the data source and applies formatting to all data labels. It is linked to a dropdown_click event. RegionRange is a range I set up prior to this code with some Select Case logic. With Worksheets("Regional...

VBA to Modify Chart Data Label Formats

Hello, I'd appreciate some advice on my attempt to format data labels the same way each time my VBA sub changes a charts data range (using VBA because the # of series changes). Conceptually I put the code together below but I can't figure out the correct structure for access the datalabel...

    Array not liking formulas within {}

Hello, I'm using an array formula to populate an axis of a chart based on time period: ' {=CHOOSE($A$39,{"Jan","Feb","Mar","Q1"},{"Apr","May","Jun","Q2"},{"Jul","Aug","Sep","Q3"},{"Oct","Nov","Dec","Q4"},{"Q1","Q2","Q3","Q4","YearTotal"})} ' I'm trying to put a number along with the...

    Pivot table challenge

Thanks for any help on this. I'm working with some survey data on market share and could use some advice. The pivot table is easy enough, but the challenge I'm facing is that I have some quantity data to blend in, but not sure how. Here's a simplified data set: http://sdrv.ms/T1DQpL The...

Dashboard .xlsm file throwing errors on open

On open it says "Excel found unreadable content in 'Name of File.xlsm'. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes." These issues started when I began using freeze panes on the dashboard, may have something to do with that?

Dashboard .xlsm file throwing errors on open

Hello, Sometimes my dashboard is throwing an odd error on open. After "recovery", my freeze panes is removed, and I can see headings and gridlines (which I usually hide). Other than that it seems the dashboard is fine. I use some mild VBA to show/hide charts, and change formatting of cells...

Switch from Revenue to Orders...in an already complex dashboard

Hello, I've been using a revenue dashboard for a while now, with about 10 named ranges and a sheet full of dynamic tables to power charts. I copied the dashboard, and replaced all the raw data with order data, and voila the revenue dashboard is now an orders dashboard. I'm trying to...

    Remove duplicates (case sensitive)

So does my formula not work? Seem to be pretty similar. edit: I see what the formula is doing, but I'm working with records here so I don't just want a list of unique values. I'm looking for something I can filter on, and delete all those duplicate records. Any tips with that?

    Remove duplicates (case sensitive)

Hello, Surprisingly I couldn't find an article or forum posts on this topic. I got some clues from other sites but can someone validate this to make sure it makes sense? I'm using SalesForce IDs (different IDs can vary by the case of a letter) so I'd like to remove any lines with duplicate...

    Sales rep region logic

Thanks for the help Luke and Montrey. I'll play with the sumproduct formula and do a bit of dragging and dropping :X Raesu

    Sales rep region logic

That sumproduct formula will help, just need to figure out exactly how to use it. Why does it need the ">0" at the end? Geographic location does not matter, it just happens that reps share states that are next to each other. That first sorted table looks good. How did you do that?

    Sales rep region logic

Or if I could somehow sort the states so that similar patterns line up against each other. For example WV and PA would be right next to each other since the 1 pattern is the same.

    Sales rep region logic

Yes those members would be correct here. The +/- are just factors I'm thinking about when making the groups. I think I can make some formulas to "score" each rep and use the Excel solver once I read through that article. I appreciate the help but don't want to hold people up with amiguous...

    Sales rep region logic

I have been doing some dragging and dropping, so here is a good example of my goal here: Name OH WV MI PA KY Joe Jim Luis Carlos 1 Pierre 1 1 1 1 1 Sue 1 1 1 1 Derek 1 Ted Mark 1 1 Those 5 states could be grouped, with only 5 reps to the "Mid West" group. It is a plus...

Also, I am not reassigning reps or making changes to who covers what. I'm just grouping states together so that about 5 reps belong to each group. Sorry I'm having trouble explaining this properly

    Sales rep region logic

Thanks for the responses. I have a sum line on the bottom, so that I can see states covered by up to 4 reps in this case. I was thinking this would get me close to logically bucketing states but here is the catch. -Several states are covered by 1 rep. Some by 2, etc. What is not...

    Sales rep region logic

Hello, I'm trying to map out queues in SalesForce.com that give leads to sales reps. Reps have overlapping regions by state, and I'm struggling trying to find a logical solution to establish which reps belong to which queues (they can belong to more than one). I can't post anything on...
