I've been absent for a long time. I trust the denizens of Chandoo.org are happy and healthy.
I want to create a Table of unique values from another Excel Table, so that I can use it as a source for a lookup.
e.g. from the dates in Table 1, I want to derive the unique values, sorted in newest...
I have two Tables in Power Query, say Table 1 and Table 2.
They both contain many columns, but I am interested in identifying values in Date and Amount of Table 1 to see if they exist in Table 2.
Is PQ the best tool or am i barking up the wrong tree?
This challenge has been dogging me all...
As usual @Chihiro is on the money, although I've taken the liberty of adding to it ...
I like your tern visual fluff - I'd like to use it with appropriate attribution :DD
As @vletm as indicated, why not let Excel handle the date arithmetic for you by way of a Pivot Table, and through restructuring your data by way of an Excel Table - Example attached.

If so, i think that will be your best bet - I'll be gone for a few hours, but others will come online shortly as the sun rises in the East and...
I've modified your worksheet to make your data range an Excel Table - the filtering will result from the Table's features.
There are some issues with your addition of numbers given that you're mixing grams and Kgs - you can have Excel add kgs as a label after your numbers (suffixes as you...
Well, it might do if you're fluent in whatever language that page is written in. It's highly unlikely that anyone will go to the effort of opening such a file for fear that it is infected in some way shape or form.
Sorry, it explains nothing.
This has been done in past examples using a User Defined Function (UDF) - let me know if that is of interest, and I'll dig up the material on it ...
It's a regular request around here - usually for Fees or Commission schedules
