I tried exporting to power pivot but I have the 32 bit version Excel 2010 with 9 gigs of ram. It hangs up about half way. IS there something similar to Access's "Like" comparison in Excel's VBA? I can fall back to the IF statements and try to account for all oddities. Thanks to all. Lee
