How to make cell blank?

Hello experts!

How to make Cell F4 blank if the Cell E4 is blank? F4 only should produce value after entering value in E4.

Can a If Than formula/statement created?

Please see attached sample file.

You can write the formula as follows in cell F4

=IF(E4="","",SUM(E4-C4))

Sum is not required,

in F3 copied down :

=IF(E3="","",E3-C3)

or this shorter one,

=IF(E3,E3-C3,"")

you can also try this one
=IF(ISBLANK(E3),"",E3-C3)

If, for any reason at all, E3 contains a null text string, ISBLANK won't see it. COUNTBLANK will ( but that makes the formula unnecessary complicated, post #3 is the way to go)
