Chart labels showing on file opening

Hi champions!

Although I delete the labels and save the file, when I re-open it they show again. The same happens when I use the Format Data Labels option and untick Value.

I was not able to find a way to solve this.

Make sure that you are only selecting brown column series.

Then go into data label and uncheck both leader line and value.

Thanks! This is what I did and did not work. Tried in your attachment and issue persists.

Hmm, worked for while on my end. But looks like it lost it again.

Try following workaround.

Go to Data label options for the series. Go to Text Options. There set Text Fill to No fill.

This will leave Data label in place, but it won't be visible.

Yes, this workaround always works. However, I expected the Untick to work flawlessly. Anyway, thanks again
