Please see the documents attached.

I need to know how to use an INDEX and MATCH formula.

Scenario: Using an INDEX and Match formula from one spreadsheet to return data to another workbook.

Hi ,

I think your uploaded file is the wrong one.

Which cell(s) in which tab(s) in which workbook should have the formula ?

Narayan

Sincere apologies.

I've learnt my lesson, it's been two months plus and I am no longer pursuing answers on other forums I have posted on about this issue. Unfortunately, removing the threads from other sites is not an option due to their site rules.

Please could someone help answer my question in post #1 of this thread?

Once again, I apologise.

Thank you for your efforts but just realised the formula I need has to be an INDEX and MATCH combined.

I have attached a new file.

Thank you so much!

I notice you've changed the MID formula in cell E6.

Was there anything else?

I ask because I need to replicate the changes in my main excel file.

Revision was made in C6, E6 and H6

C6 and E6, changed to exclude extra space

H6, to use limited cell range instead of using whole column cell range, it was 1 million cells per column and too much calculation will cause slow down of your computer
