Hello there … Welcome to Pointy Haired Dilbert or PHD as we call it. Here is a quick intro to the site.

What the heck is PHD?

PHD is a blog about excel tips, tech tidbits and business insights. Well, mostly excel tips. I write most of the content while a vibrant and passionate community of readers and participants help each other learn new excel stuff.

Do you really have pointy hair?

Well, that is not the point ;). But FYI, I have curly hair.

Why do you write it?

Because I want YOU to be successful and productive at work. That simple!

I am totally new here, what should I read?

Congratulations, and welcome to the buzzing community at PHD.

If you are familiar with excel you can start reading the most popular posts. I’d recommend reading:

1. Become a Conditional Formatting Rockstar with these 5 tips
2. Excel can be Exciting – 15 fun things you can do in MS Excel
3. 25 Free excel downloadable templates and workbooks
4. 73 high quality excel chart templates, download and make awesome charts
5. 15 Excel formulas you must learn

If you are new to excel, you have come to the right place. Start by browsing excel-tips category and feel free to click on posts that you feel like learning more.

Also you can start reading the spreadcheats series. This 30 post series (3 posts so far) aspires to make you really good at solving day to day problems using excel. The posts are really small and easy to follow.

Is there something I can do for you?

Yes! you would do me a great favor by subscribing to my RSS feed or email news letters. They are great way to keep yourself up to date with the blog and get new tips.

Please, please…. bookmark the site on delicious or stumble or email about it to a friend to spread the word.

It motivates me like a strong espresso to see new people dropping here and asking questions or learning something cool.

Do you have an email or something man?

Yes I do… it is chandoo dot d at gmail dot com. Tell me what you think about the site, any ideas you have or may be some questions or money. Oh wait, dont send me money through email. Google blocks it automatically thinking you are from Nigeria offering to…., OK you get the picture. But just mail me and say, hi.

Welcome once again… If you see the pages loading slowly, it is because my server is overwhelmed with your love. But it is a good problem to have. 🙂
