Work allocation

Dear Sirs,

I have 8 operators to whom I need to allocate workload equally depending on their targets. For example workload is 10000 pages for the day & operator BNS is having target of 1200 pages, DDV 600 pages, SSC 1200, HAV 1200, SSC 1200, VKD 400, NHS 400 and DMR is having target of 1200 so, depending on workload they should get it equally. Can you please guide me as to how I can distribute this workload equally (more or less) between 10 operators automatically in excel.

Firstly, Welcome to the Chandoo.org Forums

In your post you refer to 10 workers but only listed 8
The 8 have a capacity of 7,400 units and so cannot achieve 10,000


If you increase the capacities or add more workers yes, 10,000 is acievable

The math to evenly distribute the 10,000 is simple

=10000*1200/7400

Hello Sir, Thanks & Sorry I missed two operators. I have divided the workload equally for all users. What I want is, say I have 59 files for 10000 pages. Each word file contains different number of pages. I have noted down file name and number of pages. Now I want to check is, if there is any way to get the operators name automatically.PFA
