Hi all,

I am a newbie here and trying to solve a problem. I have the attached data and would like to see a stacked chart next to clustered to compare the baseline and forecast for each category of spend (i.e h/w, s/w, etc) against each phase and each region.

Attached is the sample data.

any suggestions, tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
R17

Something like this?

You can get the chart by adding an extra column to your original data, call it dummy and leave the whole thing blank.
Then set up a pivot table with
  • Category in column labels area
  • Baseline, Forecast & Dummy in values area
  • Phase, Region & ∑ values in row labels area (yes, you can move the ∑ values to row labels area)
Then insert a stacked column chart from this data. Adjust properties (gap width=0%) and you are good to go.

Check out this workbook if you have trouble recreating this.
