How to use subscript while entering chemical names of materials

VDS

Member
@Dear All,

I want to write the chemical names of some materials Just like Water (H2O), Sulphuric Acid (H2SO4), Carbon Di Oxide (CO2) etc. Here, the numeric provided in the bracket will be written as Subscrpt. However, for repeated number of numerals, how the subscript can be applied in a single stretch ? What I want when chemical name is typed, the numeral should be displayed as subscript in order to avoid Format cells again and again.

H20 H2O WATER
H2S04 H2SO4 SULPHURIC ACID
CO2 CO2 CABON DI OXIDE
NH4CI NH4Cl AMONIUM CHLORIDE
C4H6O6 C4H6O6 Tartaric Acid

Sorry I was busy in some family function. Could not saw the post.

To do this: follow the steps:

1. Enter any Formula or information like H2SO4.
2. Select 2 in edit mode.
3. Go to format cell dialogue box by selecting it from right click menu or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+1.
4. Select Subscript as show below and press enter.
5. Repeat same for 4.
