How to format cell based on the previous value in the same cell

Hi,

I have an excel sheet (2013) which is linked to website and streams live data. Let's say I currently have "XYZ" text reflecting in cell B15. After 10 minutes the data at the website changes to "ABC" and therefore the cell B15 is now reflecting "ABC". I have about 50 cells like that and I want to be able to view only the cells which change the data as rest are of no use for my work.

Now, what I'm trying to get to is that, the cell should show a color visual when the data changes from "XYZ" to "ABC". Is there any way to do this ?

You can try conditional formatting with a formula in it to highlight in some color.

You cannot use CF for this - it will require VBA, as these are worksheet change events.
