how to apply Data Validation for the following

I want to check and apply data validation starting from E7 total weight in each compartment againt maximum compartment capacity. if suppose total weight in compartment 1 is greater than max. compartment 1 capacity (16000 >15306) pop up screen in cell E12 preventing me from proceeding.

thank you much. but data validation is applied for compartment 1 only. if you check the attached file i can accept as much as want in compartment 2,3,4 and compartment 5. any suggestions.
