Highlighting cells in within a workbook containing any unique text

Hi,

I want to highlight cells containing any unique text or any number say "Ram" or "12345" in different cells of any workbook i.e. Wherever "Ram" text is mentioned in different sheets of any work book, all the cells containing "Ram" text should be highlighted.

Thanks in advance...

Hi Sanjeev,
Welcome to the forum...

You can use CF on each sheet one by one.
If you want to do this in one-go, i think you will need VBA.

Thanks for replies..

The text could be repeated "N" No. of times on different sheets of workbook. I know that same can be done through conditional formatting on each individual sheet.

since I do not have the understanding of VBA, so I cant develop the macro. Is there any excel formula to do the same.

Thanks once again to all...

Regards
Sanjeev

@sanjeev

See the file, it uses VBA to fill Yellow colour anywhere on any sheet if you put "N" in that cell. Note this is just illustration if your N is appearing because of a formula, the code needs to be changed.

Regards,
