filter on dates in a pivot table (PC Excel 2016)

hi there

i'm trying to filter dates in excel 2016 on PC via a pivot table.
it won't let me filter label on "greater than 1/1/2017" even though i have ensured the cells have proper formatting.

I take it from this article that a power pivot plug in is required, which i tried to install but didn't happen. can anyone suggest a work around?

my mac excel (excel for mac 2011) filtered this pivot table fine... Weird and annoying they'd strip this necessary function out in a newer version.

Just use time line slicer to work around it. PowerPivot is only available for specific licensing option (Office 365 Pro Plus, E3 or other enterprise subscription etc).

FYI - Date filter is there and works fine in Excel 2016.
