Date Set as General Format

How can I convert a date that is set as general format and looks like 20170202 to 02/02/17? It downloads as general format when I run a report in an ERP system. I'm sure there is a formula that will do it. Thanks in advance for anyone's help!

Hi,

Alternatively, you can use Text to Column feature to convert to proper date, by selecting the whole date column.

If you really like. click Like

A1 : 2017020

B1, enter formula :

=--TEXT(A1,"0000-00-00")

then, format it to date format as per your own country type.
