Consolidation of Data in Year from two columns

Hi All,
i have a data in Column A where Employees Increment month and year is stored and in Column B Promotion month and year is stored. Now i'm searching a formula in C where it should consolidate the data from column A and Column B and give me month-Year in Ascending Order. an example Workbook is herewith Attached.

=IF(A2>B2,"b2","a2").i hope this helps..

@nisha01 your formula works only if the range in ColumnA and ColumnB r same. it will give error value if the range in both columns are not same.
