Can Layered Shapes be copied & pasted as a single object?

Hi Everyone,

I can't seem to find any information to the following. After creating 6 to 9 shapes and layering them to make up one visually pleasing KPI data widget for a dashboard, is there a simple way of copying that widget in order to have several of them as a header for your dashboard. Also, is there a way that once you have the layout of the widget like you want it you can move the widget around as a single unit for placement purposes? Hopefully, this can be done in Excel. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

The simplest way is to group them

If there are many shapes I find it simplest to use the Selection Pane
goto: Page Layout, Selection Pane

There you can select pieces and once you have all the ones you want right click on them, Format, Group

Hui,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I found Group where you indicated and it does just what I wanted to do.
