Vlookup recent date without using array formulla

Hi premjeet,

If you want help, try helping those who wants to help you. If you can upload a workbook with a sample data than might be someone help you, because we don't know whether your database has unique value or duplicates lookup value. This will change the solution.

Regards,

Sorry,
Forgot to attach the sheet.

Please check. I was using array max along with if. But it hangs my system.

So that i m looking a plain formulla instead of array.

@premjeet

Your MAX and IF formula is completely untraceable in your sample file.

Where is your lookup value and where is the lookup table ?

Can you explain the purpose of your required formula with ref. to cells.

Regards,

Please find revised sheet with mapped formull with reference.

Hope it can help u to underestand.

and thank for quick response.

What I guessed , I used below formula in B2 and copied down. And its fast.

=IF(MAX(IF(A2=$F$2:$F$1998,$G$2:$G$1998)),MAX(IF(A2=$F$2:$F$1998,$G$2:$G$1998)),"")

Regards,

Never include whole column as it will slow down your speed, if you are unsure about your range than use dynamic named range as I had used in my uploaded file of last comment.
