where is vba macro

Hi friends ,

I am receiving one excel “.xlsx” file through mail.

1. File opening itself it is running a macro.

2. For opening itself it is take 5 to 10 minutes.

3. But am not able to see VBA codes.

Kindly advice how to view the macro file. I cannot upload file it is confidential.
 
.xlsx doesn't store macro any how.your file might have .xls

You may try this..
  • Download the file.
  • Press & old shift key
  • Right click
  • Open in protected view

But due to company policy i can't share my file.

Edit: Kindly take some time and check any possibilities is their. Am also searching .

Hi Syed ,

How is it you know that the file has one or more macros ?

A .xlsx file cannot contain user macros.

We are left with two possibilities ; either macros in your Personal workbook , or add-ins.

Since you are looking for viewing codes only, I think you try to remove all confidential data and and post the file here, so the senior members here like Narayan Sir and Deepak will able to operate something.
