Clear cell of dependent drop down list

Hi All,
I make a selection in ROW 1 (appropriate selections in COL A & B)
and proceed till ROW 5
I now go back to ROW2 - COL-A .. and change my selection
old entry :- Fruits ---- Apple
new entry :- vegetable ----- (colB still shows apple, but the drop down gives me list of vegetable)

My request :-
When the selection is changed (say.. ROW 2 COL A),
I would want the cell on the dependent colum to be empty (ie ROW 2 COL B)

Is this possible .. please let me know how
